Igényes helyen, hideg és szar kaja, qrva drágán.

On warm summer days don't miss the unlisted cold vegetable soup. Mostly thick of cucumber and garlic.

The style of their dishes are very close to what you can get at a typical Hungarian home.

Don't back off by the long queue at peak hours. It's handled swiftly.

Külön említést érdemel a császármorzsa, ami a régi otthoni ízeket idézte.
FIGYELEM! Csak 18 óráig van nyitva, nem vacsorázós hely.

This is a true bargain and not only due to the super cheap prices! Students get 10% off and if you really want to save money, everyone gets 25% off all food after 5pm (although the selection is very limited by then). Feel free to warm your food in the self service microwave, if you come in after 2pm or so. You can have a massive meal for about 3 euro.

Traditional Hungarian cuisine at reasonable prices.
All pros no cons.
The chicken casserole with mash was fantastic

We are Malaysia Chinese. We have been to this restaurant for lunch a number of times. The food is good and reasonable by Hungarian standard. But what makes it a really good place to return for a meal is that the staff there are warm and friendly. It is service with a smile, to one and all. Our hope is that they may set up more branches in Budapest.

Relative to Western Europe, one can eat quite cheaply in Budapest. This being said there were many times this week where I felt that maybe I wasn't getting the best deal. It was a real treat to discover Kicsi Mama (Love the name!!) and be able to feed my family for around 14 euros. Don't be put off by the lack of English descriptions as the employees can speak English well enough to describe the various dishes. The long queue of locals at noon speak to the value and quality of the food. This restaurant is not open for dinner.

This place is a cheap place to eat traditional, and not only. It;s a buffet type, and not a traditional restaurant, and I think it's a bit underrated, compared to the very overrated and expensive "City Market" restaurant choices - this place is just around the corner from the City Market, and has the same nice dishes, for less money - and you always have a place to sit and eat, unlike the market.

Clean, spacy place for a quick lunch. It has 30-40 different dishes, bier, and sweets. Not a high-end restaurant but super clean and the food is similar to the home made. Because it’s near to the university it’s is usually packed with students (they get 5% discounts). Tourists also like it because it’s near to the “grand market” of Budapest.
