Cute little cafe with outside seating. Sandwiches are simple but very tasty

In a week-long holiday in Budapest, I was looking for tasty food, like what you`d find at home. I happened to walk down the street where Huculka Coffee is, and I decided to try it. The menu was in English, the woman who owns it with her husband speaks English and is quite friendly. She says they always cook two hearty soups or stews plus one main dish, and the daily menu changes. They also serve up sandwiches and really nice breakfasts. The food is simple and tasty. I went back two more times - and I almost never do this on vacations since I usually want to try different places. The only reason I didn`t go two more times is because they are closed on weekends. You can eat indoors or at one of the sidewalk tables. They only open until 4 pm as they have no staff - just husband and wife. She told me that many folks came during the pandemic just to chat and have something, even if they could have made their own breakfast at home. Lots of locals, not many tourists, so that tells me something.

Happened to walk past the cafe on the way to the Metro from Fisherman's Bastion and went in as it started raining - and very glad we did.
The inside is quite small with a mezannine area for seating but the tea, coffee, cake and soup we had were all good.
Well worth stopping in if you're in the area - even if it's not raining. :o)

This place is just awesome! Food is great, portions are big, good price. My soup was full of chicken, and we had giant yummy sandwiches. Definitely will go there one more time!

We found this place while going home from our morning run session) And it was a definitely good decision - to stop by for having breakfast in this small cafe! We had a scrambled eggs, lecho, sandwiches, coffee - everything was fine! Highly recommended!

HUCULKA, a "UNIQUE COFFEE PLACE WITH SLAVIC SENSE". Its right next to it and funnywise i thought also to have a sandwich cause i wasnt really full after my early lunch. So i went in and was surprised to find ones which looked super fresh and well created. I had the choice between smoked cheese, smoked ham and more. But moreover i was super happy to get such big slices of black bread from local farmers. The sandwich was awesome for ONLY 420 HUF WHICH IS NOT EVEN 1,50 €! JUST GREAT

It is a really nice little cosy place to grab something to eat and have a beer. The service was very friendly.

We were wandering back down from Castle Hill via the Vienna Gate and lower down towards the river we stumbled across this little coffee shop. It is located right next door to Pillók Cukrászda bakery.
As we browsed the menu outside, the lady owner spoke to us in very good English and we went in for coffee and cake. It is only a cosy place, but they have extra seating on a mezzanine floor upstairs.
The drinks were very nice and we enjoyed the local chocolate cake.
